Ken Annakin, classic action filmmaker, dies at 94

British film director Ken Annakin, best known for directing the 1965 World War II movie, The Battle of the Bulge, died Wednesday night at the age of 94, according to the AP. Annakin received an Oscar nomination for cowriting the original screenplay for the 1965 comedy Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines, which he also directed. Annakin also codirected the D-Day epic, The Longest Day, for which he received a DGA nomination.
