Ratings: 'Sit Down, Shut Up,' Miss USA fizzle on Sunday

Posted on

Viewers didn’t heed the title of Fox’s newest animated sitcom, Sit Down, Shut Up — the latest project from the Arrested Development brain trust amused a mere 5.2 million viewers in its Sunday premiere on Fox. (By comparison, its lead-in, The Simpsons, garnered 6.5 million, while its lead-out, Family Guy, notched 7.4 million.) NBC fared even worse with its Miss USA Pageant, which charmed just 5 million, but perked up with Celebrity Apprentice (8.4 million, up 500,000 from last week). The Amazing Race (10.4 million) continued to pull its weight for CBS (which won the night), as did ABC’s Desperate Housewives (13.6 million) and Brothers & Sisters (9.6 million).
