Richard Jenkins will become the embodiment of “Pray” in Sony Pictures’ adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir Eat, Pray, Love. The Academy Award-nominated actor (The Visitor) will play the man Julia Roberts’ character meets when she visits an Ashram in India. It’s still unclear whether James Franco will join the cast as was suggested in The Hollywood Reporter on April 1. The actor, who just signed on to the Tina Fey-Steve Carrell comedy Date Night, has been offered a role but has not yet accepted. Director Ryan Murphy (Running With Scissors) will begin filming Eat, Pray, Love, about one woman’s personal journey around the globe, this summer.
