NBC’s new cop drama (premiering Thursday, April 9) might look like a gritty take on crime in South Central L.A., but it’s also a surprising dream teen reunion. (Watch closely to spot a second O.C. cameo.)

Current Role: Crossing over from the right side of the tracks as broody newbie Ben Sherman.

REGINA KING
Where You’ve Seen Her: As sassy high schooler Brenda on ’80s fave 227! (Please let this mean a Jack√©e sighting is imminent.)
Current Role: Straitlaced detective Lydia Adams.

MICHAEL CUDLITZ
Where You’ve Seen Him: As Brenda Walsh’s skeevy prom date with hotel-room aspirations on the original 90210.
Current Role: No-nonsense veteran cop John Cooper, charged with training a rookie.

TOM EVERETT SCOTT
Where You’ve Seen Him: As the That Thing You Do! heartthrob who stole Liv Tyler’s heart.
Current Role: Still being dreamy, this time with a detective’s badge, as Russell Clarke.

SHAWN HATOSY
