'Office Space' celebrates 10th annniversary (in perfect economy to watch 'Office Space' again)

Posted on

Mike Judge’s Office Space hit theaters in February 1999, and next month, the film’s 10th anniversary will be commemorated with a special screening and reunion at Austin’s Paramount Theatre. Somehow, tickets are still available for the Feb. 8 event, which will be attended by Judge and members of the cast including Gary Cole (Bill Lumbergh), Stephen Root (Milton), David Herman (Michael Bolton), and Ajay Naidu (Samir Nagheenanajar). According to reports, there will be giveaways courtesy of Fox Home Entertainment, which releases the film on Blu-ray Feb. 3, and copresenters SXSW and Fantastic Fest have promised “special Office Space activities” before and after the screening. (I have a copy/fax machine that’s begging to be put down, should organizers be accepting volunteers.)

In 2005, the real Michael Bolton told me, “I have signed so many Office Space DVDs, and I have it, but I’ve never seen it.” I wonder if that’s still the case…
