Killer True Blood spoilers!
Season 2 of HBO’s fangtastic True Blood doesn’t bow until summer, but I’ve already got intel from series creator Alan Ball. Fancy a bite?
Three’s Company: Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) will wing it to Dallas, where they’ll assist the local bloodsuckers in locating their MIA sheriff. But the couple’s bigger problem may be their new third wheel, the irritating Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll). ”She’s part of their life now,” says Ball. ”Bill made her; he’s responsible for her.”
Diff’rent Strokes: The question of who — or what — Maryann (Michelle Forbes) is will play out, and the answer doesn’t lie in Charlaine Harris’ books. ”She’s a new kind of supernatural creature.”
Dead Like Me: ”I can’t tell you if Lafayette [played by Nelsan Ellis] will be back,” says Ball, adding ominously, ”He did die in the books.” He will reveal that Lois Smith’s Gran returns in flashbacks.
Highway to Heaven: Sookie’s sex-obsessed bro, Jason (Ryan Kwanten), will get mixed up with the nefarious Fellowship of the Sun. ”He realizes something’s missing in his life,” says Ball. Aside from his pants?
Q: Got any scoop on House? I’m dying to find out what happens next between Foreman and Thirteen. —Cindy
A: A potential breakup is in store for the lovestruck docs when Thirteen discovers that Foreman wasn’t being completely honest about the Huntington’s clinical trial that he insisted she participate in. Elsewhere, if you’re simply dying to see Cuddy turn the tables and torture House for a change, then DVR the Feb. 2 episode. You’ll thank me later.
Q: Anything on NCIS‘ Tony? Tony! Tony! Tony! —Katie
A: I’m not sure I understand your question. You want scoop on who? Ducky? Well, I got nada on him, so you’ll have to settle for this Tony tidbit: He’s replacing Gibbs as boss. But Mark Harmon need not worry; it’s only temporary. In a February episode, Gibbs puts Tony in charge of the team when a case he once worked on gets reactivated.
Q: I’ve got Scrubs fever, and the only cure is a plot leak. —Jennie
A: One of the comedy’s biggest mysteries — what’s Janitor’s (Neil Flynn) real name? — will finally be solved in the show’s season (and likely series) finale this spring. But prepare for a major letdown, warns exec producer Bill Lawrence. ”We felt we had burdened ourselves by never saying it, because then you’re obligated to come up with something big,” he explains. ”So we didn’t come up with anything big. But Neil and I are happy about it.” My guess? Neil. Or Bill.
Sex Stud Returns
Sex and the City‘s Jason Lewis will reprise his role as Kevin’s ex, closeted actor Chad, on Brothers & Sisters in April. ”He runs into Kevin at a bar,” whispers my source, ”and they start talking, flirting, etc.” They etc.? Don’t tell Scotty!
