In JCVD, Jean-Claude Van Damme plays himself as a sensitive fella who doesn’t always solve problems with his fists. Okay, we buy that. But how plausible are other actors’ versions of themselves?

Least Plausible
BILLY ZANE
Zoolander
When Zoolander faces off against Hansel at a party, bald Billy Zane is there to provide backup. But everybody knows Billy Zane is second banana to no man.

TOPHER GRACE
Ocean’s Eleven
Dumb in the ways of poker, Grace gets schooled by Brad Pitt. But when you’ve got as much sitcom money as Grace, how do you not know how to play cards?

In Between
JOHN MALKOVICH
Being John Malkovich
Does the real Malkovich ever enter a portal into his own head? No. But does he ever dance around his bedroom in a bedsheet? Undoubtedly. So this one’s a toss-up.

Most Plausible
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS
Harold & Kumar
Harris’ lewd, drugged-out, horny version of himself in both Harolds is funny but utterly credible, no doubt because that’s exactly what the guy’s like in real life. Ha.

BILL MURRAY
Coffee and Cigarettes
GZA and RZA are delighted to discover that their waiter is the Bill Murray, hiding out for a while. Definitely seems like something the real Bill Murray would do.
