Masi Oka, Heroes
Paul Drinkwater

READER’S CHOICE*: DVD
1. LOST (ABC)
I know I have until January, but my wife and I just finished season 3 of Lost. We were going to hold out and watch season 4 on DVD in December but may just watch it crammed together at the computer desk on Hulu. Too many questions need answering! —Greg

I need to catch up on season 3 of Lost. After the show got all sympathetic to the Others, I got really mad and promised to stop watching. But how can I really stop watching Lost? I met my wife because of that friggin’ show! Anyway, it’s Netflix time so I can catch up and figure out whether or not I feel like jumping back on the ”cliffhanger every week” bandwagon… —Ep Sato

DVD
2. HEROES (NBC)
Between feudal Japan and “somewhere in Mexico,” you got antsy. But Heroes picked up the pace (and some new supers), and looks poised for a comeback. Jump in before the new season starts. (Now on DVD)

READER’S CHOICE*: TV
3. GOSSIP GIRL (The CW)
Seeing an interview with Blake Lively and realizing that she’s lovely (and not, as I had assumed, the second coming of Mischa Barton) + Shirtless Chase Crawford in my subway station = Anyone know how I can catch up on Gossip Girl for free? —b0bbyr0we

DVD
4. TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES (Fox)
As we march toward Armageddon, it might help to know who’s already dead. (DVD)

READER’S CHOICE*: TV
5. MAD MEN (AMC)
Mad Men — and it’s kept me from watching the new season so I’m probably in the same situation next season. —Broadway Baby

Just recently caught up with Mad Men. Did a season 1 marathon a few weekends ago and then started watching this season on ON Demand. It is well worth the time! I love Peggy, Don, Pete, and especially Joan. I am also in the process of finishing Friday Night Lights season 1, which I started watching about halfway through. ”Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t LOSE!!!” —snarky

INTERNET
6. DIRTY SEXY MONEY (ABC)
You could just take our word for it that season 1 was sudsy fun, with the politician dating the tranny; the priest and his illegitimate kid; and the mystery murderer, but…why? (iTunes)

INTERNET
7. 30 ROCK (NBC)
You missed Alec Baldwin’s epic reenactment of black ’70s sitcoms, the triumphant return of the “Beeper King,” and Tracy Morgan doing a spot-on Tracy Morgan. Or rather, you almost did. (Hulu.com)

READER’S CHOICE*: TV
8. THE SHIELD (FX)
I’ve been watching old episodes of The Shield and can’t wait until its premiere in September! Wouldn’t it be awesome if Vic turned out to be Internal Affairs????? Can’t wait to see the final season twists…. —Dana

DVD
9. HOUSE (Fox)
The House-Wilson bromance is on pause ’cause Cutthroat Bitch croaked — and you don’t even know who she is. Awkward. (DVD)

INTERNET
10. GREY’S ANATOMY (ABC)
Anatomy? Try geometry. From Callie-McSteamy-Hahn to Mer-Der-Rose, Grey‘s was all about the triangles. (iTunes)

READER’S CHOICE*: TV
11. REAPER (The CW)
I know it’s not premiering until the winter, but I’ve been catching up on Reaper. It’s been great, and each episode brings more depth to the characters. I can’t wait to see where it all ends up for season 1 and on to season 2. Ray Wise is great as the Devil, and Sock is one of my favorite characters on TV right now. —Miriam

INTERNET
12. DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (ABC)
What tornado? DH‘s new season skips ahead five years, so cram now or you’ll be left wondering how Lynette’s (Felicity Huffman) terror tots grew so fast. (iTunes)

READER’S CHOICE*: INTERNET
13. CHUCK (NBC)
Bad news: This dramedy about a geek–turned–accidental spy is so high-concept, you kinda had to be there. Good news: You still can be. (iTunes)

INTERNET
14. HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (CBS)
Wacky premise, ’80s star with a cool sense of humor (Neil Patrick Harris), and too few viewers for its own good — crud, HIMYM is Arrested Development all over again. (iTunes)

INTERNET
15. CSI (CBS)
Everyone else already knows what happened to Grissom’s girlfriend (Jorja Fox) and the hot guy with the ‘fro (Gary Dourdan). (iTunes)
