Four decades after it hit wax, ”Jumpin’ Jack Flash” remains as blazingly vital as ever. The same can’t necessarily be said of the Stones, who hurry awkwardly through the opening tune in Martin Scorsese’s concert documentary Shine a Light. The aging gods later loosen up, particularly in duets with Jack White, Christina Aguilera, and blues master Buddy Guy — though a gladhanding cameo from the Clintons feels superfluous. A featurette, meanwhile, shows the band kidding around in interviews and testing out their set list during rehearsals. Playing to a nearly empty venue, the Stones finally show the kind of genuine joy that’s missing from much of the main event. B-
