COURTS
In NYC, lawyers have filed a will written by Heath Ledger, and it leaves all his possessions to his parents and siblings. It was prepared in 2003, before the 28-year-old actor — who died Jan. 22 of an accidental prescription-drug overdose — met girlfriend Michelle Williams, 27, and had daughter Matilda, 2. His father, Kim Ledger, has said Williams and Matilda will be provided for. ”That’s how Heath would want it.”… Jamie Spears is still calling the shots for daughter Britney Spears, 26 — at least until July 31. TAKE A BOW
She may be the Queen of Pop, but Madonna did her best to fit in with the loud-guitar crowd when she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10 in New York City. (Among the other honorees: John Mellencamp, Leonard Cohen, the Ventures, and the Dave Clark Five.) After a smirky tribute from Justin Timberlake, Madonna recalled learning to play drums along with Elvis Costello records. Then she turned the stage over to ”another ass-kicker from Michigan”: Iggy Pop. He tore through Madge’s ”Burning Up” and ”Ray of Light” in blistering arrangements that rattled the black-tie audience and justified her love. — Sean Howe
