In season 2, Eli (Jonny Lee Miller) fully embraces the idea that his visions are prophetic — not just some silly old brain aneurysm. ”He really believes that what’s happening to him is divine, and it becomes a lot more public,” says exec producer Greg Berlanti. ”We deal with the fallout of that.” Case in point: Exec producer Marc Guggenheim says the first episode kicks off with a ”cataclysmic event on the level of [last season’s] bridge collapse.” The guest stars are fairly event-worthy themselves: Sigourney Weaver has a guest arc as Eli’s therapist, and Katie Holmes is set to do some singing and dancing, Stone-style.
