Director Peter Berg and producer Michael Mann have crafted a slickly propulsive, eminently watchable action flick about an FBI team, led by Jamie Foxx, investigating a bombing in Saudi Arabia. That’s the problem: The Kingdom‘s troubling Middle East realpolitik is canceled out by its skill in blowing stuff up. (The movie’s craftsmanship is spotlighted in several nicely detailed featurettes.) You’ll cheer like you’re at a Charles Bronson flick when Jennifer Garner stabs a terrorist in the groin, but will you feel dirty afterward? At least The Kingdom asks the question — sort of. B
