Posted on

Cuba Gooding Jr. has been tapped to star in action thriller Untitled Gehenna Project, which is being directed by Sean Connery’s son, Jason Connery (Pandemic). Gooding will play a member of an elite group of soldiers. Also cast as soliders are Taryn Manning (Hustle & Flow), Jason London (Wildfire), Franky G (Smith, Jonny Zero), Zack Ward (L.A. Twister), Stephanie Jacobson (Battlestar Galactica: Razor), and Brandon Fobbs (Pride, The Wire). The group is sent on a convert mission by a government agent, played by Valerie Cruz (Nip/Tuck), to retrieve a missing scientist, played by Ron Perlman (Hellboy Animated), from an underground lab. Along the way they run into a priest (rocker Henry Rollins) who tells them an ”ancient evil” has been released, causing their greatest fears to come to life. Their former leader (Ray Winstone) helps them uncover what is actually taking place at the facility. Bill Moseley (Halloween 2007, The Devil’s Rejects) and Sarah Ann Morris (Almost Perfect) play members of the compromised research team. (Hollywood Reporter)
