Ever go to a restaurant and order a dish so good, that was all you wanted to eat for, like, years? I have to think something similar happened to Woody Allen: After shooting a couple of movies in the UK—Match Point and Scoop—the famed New Yorker has made another Britflick, Cassandra’s Dream.
And you know what? It looks like rain and deep-fried cuisine agrees with the Woodman. It’s kind of amazing the career boost Allen has engineered by, essentially, giving up on comedy. Cassandra’s Dream looks like a tasty little murder mystery—with two brothers (Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell) united through debt and crime—even if it’s just a little weird to hear Farrell’s native brogue.
