The new comedy from the stable of Judd Apatow (Knocked Up) is a Walk the Line parody about fake country legend Dewey Cox. Star John C. Reilly acquits himself admirably on the Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story soundtrack’s set of rock pastiches, some co-written by Apatow himself. They range from the Elvis Presley-ish ”(Mama) You Got to Love Your Negro Man” to the small-person protest song ”Let Me Hold You (Little Man).” And in no minor achievement, the double-entendre-suffused ”Let’s Duet” (”I’m gonna beat off…all my demons!”) is both filthy and touching.
