Quiet Riot singer dead at 52

Posted on

Kevin DuBrow, the lead singer and founder of the 1980s hard rock band Quiet Riot, was found dead at his Las Vegas home on Sunday afternoon. He was 52. Quiet Riot’s single ”Cum On Feel the Noize,” from their 1983 album Metal Health, was a staple on radio and MTV. They released several albums throughout the ’80s and into the ’90s, though they never matched the fame of their Metal Health days. After a few years out of the public eye (though technically not broken up), the band got back together for a series of reunion shows in the late ’90s and recorded 2001’s Guilty Pleasures before officially breaking up shortly thereafter. DeBrow went on to release a solo record, In for the Kill, in 2004, and then managed to get Quiet Riot back together yet again in 2006, when they released the record Rehab. (Reuters)
