+ After seven years on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, James Marsters is becoming a detective — for a five-episode arc on Without a Trace. ”The FBI calls him to help [on a case],” says Marsters. ”In dramatic fashion, they stumble onto something bigger than expected.” Of course they do.

+ Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Aniston have joined Big Love‘s Ginnifer Goodwin in He’s Just Not That Into You, a comedy based on the guide to understanding men. Johansson’s also in negotiations to star in The Spirit, along with Eva Mendes.

+ Director David Leveaux is reviving Cyrano de Bergerac with Kevin Kline and Jennifer Garner. The classic follows a cadet (Kline) who’s afraid his big schnozz will scare away his beloved Roxane (Garner). ”I was thinking of a Roxane who would [be] fearless,” says Leveaux. And if there’s one thing we all know about Garner after watching her on Alias, she’s exactly that.
