I was disappointed to see only Katherine Heigl of Knocked Up on your cover. I know she’s the one on the sexy TV show, but how can you relegate Seth Rogen to that little sidebar article (”Seth, Drugs, and Rock & Roll”)? He was on two of the best TV shows of the past 10 years — Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared. I absolutely couldn’t wait to see Knocked Up, and this was because of Rogen and the other hilarious actors I’ve enjoyed watching in Judd Apatow’s previous TV shows and movies.

Loved the Katherine Heigl story (”Baby, It’s You!”). But who was that woman on the cover? It didn’t look like the sweet-girl-next-door Dr. Stevens that I’m used to.

I cannot even begin to describe my shock at seeing the photo of the cast of Big Love in bed (”Summer TV Preview”). I understand the varying levels of what is considered decent in America, but I think it’s better for everyone if we never have to see Bill Paxton’s breasts again!
Down on Dirty
Stupid Questions with Sarah Silverman turned out to be stupid answers (Spotlight). Like my mother says, if you can’t say something funny, locker-room language only proves you aren’t.
‘Shield’ of Honor
Thanks for your glowing review of The Shield and the performance of Walton Goggins (Television). While 24 was disappointing and Heroes was uneven, The Shield was riveting from the first Vic Mackey pistol-whip to the last.
OBSESSIVE FAN OF THE WEEK!
Kevin Newman of Riverside, Calif., is not only our most OFOTW, but our most productive as well. Kevin makes ”movie figures from many kinds of films, and the thing is…they are full-size!” Included in his collection are the Terminator, Darth Vader, and a nine-foot-tall Jack Skellington. To show them off, he ”had a huge display on Halloween, which had close to 1,000 people visit in one evening.” Hope he bought a lot of candy.
