The Pirate Queen is what happens when Les Miz throws up Riverdance. The creators of both behemoths team up for the true tale of Grace O’Malley, a 16th-century seafarer and warrior who takes on men, masts, and Queen Elizabeth I. Stephanie J. Block is quite appealing as the swashbuckling leading lass, and occasionally the bombast takes on a pulse-quickening ardor, in a circa-1987 kind of way. But as the confusing story sails into choppy seas, weighed down by watery, repetitive ballads, the only rational reaction is a growling aarggh! (Tickets: 212-307-4100) C-
