We gave it a D+
Ever wonder what became of Julia Stiles’ Juilliard-bound hip-hop ballerina? Neither did we, but here goes: in Save the Last Dance 2, Sara (now played by Coyote Ugly’s Miko) arrives at the famed school to study under Monique (Bisset) and must decide whether she’s willing to sacrifice everything — meaning eating cannoli and choreographing for her new love interest, soulful deejay Miles (Short) — to be prima. The answer is obvious; the 84-minute wait for it is painful. The dancing in Step Up is hotter.
None that you’ll sit through.
