Looks as if Santa’s gonna have to aim his sleigh in another direction for now. After two promising weeks, when six players, and thenanother one, all had perfect scores in our weekly prediction game, nobody walked away with the elusive gift certificate in Round 9.  In fact, none of the 1,618 players answered every question correctly. Even ourpal Ben Travers, who had a perfect score one week and missed just one questionthe next, wasn’t among this week’s 25 top players. I don’tknow — maybe you were all preoccupied with shopping and wrapping presents?

As usual, the biggest trip-up was guessing the exact take ofone movie — in this case, King Kong. Mostof our top players went WAY over — guessing up to $125 million for a movie that earnedonly $66 million during its first five days. (Hey, Kong is cool. Butnot THAT cool.) It’s just lucky that theworld of EW.com is always full of hope. You can still become our first champ by entering Round 11 on Monday to Thursday. (Yes, we’re open for theholidays — and, while we’re at it, have a happy one!)
