One week after The Island landed with a thud in multiplexes across the country, movie audiences appear likely to greet this week?s new releases with equal indifference. But we should still see a new No. 1 film.

Reigning Best Actor Jamie Foxx returns with a supporting role in Stealth, an action thriller also featuring Josh Lucas and Jessica Biel. But with action flicks failing as of late, don’t expect any box office records to be broken. Still, young males who feel the need to speed should turn out to the tune of $20 million and make the movie No. 1.

Returning favorites Wedding Crashers and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory should place second and third with $17 million and $14 million, respectively (which would mean three consecutive weeks in the runner-up slot for Crashers).

Also opening this weekend is the romantic comedy Must Love Dogs, starring Diane Lane and John Cusack. The film has had mixed reviews and will likely gross $12 million, followed by the new family action comedy Sky High, which will premiere with about $10 million. Perhaps The Dukes of Hazzard will post more blockbuster-style numbers next weekend.
