Does TV on DVD change how and what you watch?

Does the advent of TV on DVD change how and what you watch? — Gregory
Because of my addiction to cheesy reality TV, I still watch a truly mindnumbing amount of television, but there are certain shows I’ve found to be more enjoyable when viewed on DVD (and no, I’m not one of those freaks who watch a season of 24 in 24 hours). Having trouble keeping track of all of Deadwood‘s dust-covered dudes with funky facial hair yelling ”c—sucker” at the top of their lungs? it’s all considerably clearer when you take in multiple episodes at a single sitting. And the complex maze of cops and crooks that is The Wire is easier to decode with the liberal use of the rewind and pause buttons. (Hell, subtitles even come in handy on occasion.) Then there are shows like Las Vegas, which stink no matter how you watch them.
