Enon’s newest culls tracks from seven years’worth of rare seven-inch releases and Internet exclusives. But while it’s an insightful history of these noise-popsters, Lost Marbles and Exploded Evidence is also as erratic as the band itself. The collection shows them at their most infectious: ”Knock That Door” sets Toko Yasuda’s cutesy siren call and leader John Schmersal’s frenzied guitar work to some sinister electro grooves. But too often it stands by as Schmersal’s vast spaz-outs go from trippy to tedious.
