What were ’04’s top TV moments for EW’s critic?
We all know the worst thing that happened in TV (wardrobe malfunction). But what represented 2004’s best in TV, and how has it elevated the medium? — Gary Crowl
I can’t name a positive moment as singularly symbolic as the Booby incident, but I’ve got lots of little ones: Arrested Development‘s Emmy win; blasts of brilliance from Shows Chappelle and Ali G; welcome creative (and ratings) bounce-backs of older series like Gilmore Girls and Law & Order: SVU. It was a bright year for nonreality TV, which means networks will try to repeat the formula in 2005. For once, that’s a good thing.
