Desperate Housewife Nicollette Sheridan, 41, and Nick Soderblom plan to wed. No date has been set.

WEDDINGS

Viacom bigwig Les Moonves, 55, married Big Brother host Julie Chen, 34, Dec. 23 in Mexico. It is his second marriage, her first.

EXPECTING

Actress Denise Richards, 33, and actor husband Charlie Sheen, 39, will greet a second child in June, to join sister Sam, who is almost 1. Sheen also has a child from a previous relationship.

ARRESTS

Actor Josh Brolin, 36, was arrested and cited for misdemeanor battery Dec. 19 in L.A., after wife Diane Lane, 39, called police. He was released on $20,000 bail; no charges have been filed. Reps for the couple say, ”They are both embarrassed the matter went this far.”

COURTS

Rapper Young Buck (né David Darnell Brown), 23, was charged Dec. 20 in L.A. Superior Court with assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a Nov. 15 fracas at the Vibe Awards. Brown turned himself in to police on Nov. 19 and was freed on $500,000 bail. His lawyer says he will plead not guilty at a Jan. 14 arraignment…. Snoop Dogg (né Calvin Broadus), 33, filed suit Dec. 10 in L.A. against an unnamed woman and her lawyers, alleging that they tried to extort $5 million from him. According to the suit, the woman claims she was assaulted two years ago at a Snoop Dogg show, though not by the rapper…. In a suit filed Dec. 20, actor Wesley Snipes, 42, claims that the city of New York has no jurisdiction to arrest him or obtain his DNA in conjunction with a paternity suit filed in Indiana by a woman Snipes claims is delusional. The suit argues that since the actor does not reside in NYC, the city has no right to file an arrest warrant under interstate law. City attorneys say, ”The city feels that it acted appropriately in the case.”… Reality-show disaster Anna Nicole Smith (née Vickie Lynn Hogan), 37, was stripped of $88.5 million of billionaire husband J. Howard Marshall II’s estate by a federal court Dec. 30. The decision reversed a 2002 court ruling that awarded Smith the money over the protests of Marshall’s son. Her lawyer has said he will appeal.

AILING

Actor Nathan Lane, 48, left the London production of Mel Brooks’ The Producers after aggravating a back injury Dec. 16. Lane was scheduled to perform until Jan. 8. Reps say he ”needs to…rest for the [Producers] movie.”… Jennifer Garner, 32, canceled promotional appearances for her new film, Elektra, after coming down with a viral infection. Reps say she’s recovering at home.

Kelly Freas, 82, award-winning illustrator for scores of science-fiction novels and stories, as well as for MAD magazine, of natural causes, Jan. 2, in L.A…. Perry Grant, 80, a TV producer and writer (Happy Days, Ozzie & Harriet, The Jeffersons), of complications from Alzheimer’s disease, Dec. 12, in Pacific Palisades, Calif…. Influential blues guitarist and singer Son Seals, 62, of complications from diabetes, Dec. 20, in Chicago…. William Boyett, 77, a.k.a. Sgt. ”Mac” MacDonald on TV’s Adam-12, Dec. 29, in Mission Hills, Calif…. Hank ”Sugarfoot” Garland, 74, a guitarist for Elvis Presley whose style bridged country, jazz, and rock until a 1961 car crash ended his career, of natural causes, Dec. 27, in Orange Park, Fla.
