COFFEE AND CIGARETTES Director Jim Jarmusch’s series of quirky, black-and-white vignettes features fab turns from an eclectic cast. Status: United Artists released in L.A. and NYC May 14.

HOUSE OF D David Duchovny’s earnest directorial debut explores a friendship between a precocious 13-year-old (Anton Yelchin) and a mentally challenged janitor (Robin Williams). Status: Acquired by Lions Gate.

WITH ALL DELIBERATE SPEED Director Peter Gilbert’s powerful documentary about 1954’s Brown v. Board of Education marries archival footage and dramatic readings. Status: CameraPlanet Pictures and Discovery Docs released in selected cities May 14.
