Williams could not be reached for comment.


Comedian Martin Lawrence, 38, was accused of assaulting a woman at a party in mid-January. In a lawsuit filed Feb. 23 in L.A., she claims Lawrence spat on and slapped her after refusing her invitation to a Playboy/VH1 party. The suit asks for unspecified damages. A statement from Lawrence’s reps maintains that the actor was defending himself…. Ted Nugent, 55, rocker and star of VH1’s Surviving Nugent, admitted in court papers filed Jan. 6 that he is the father of an 8-year-old New Hampshire boy. The boy’s mother filed suit last August, seeking sole legal custody and child support. Neither party’s representatives returned calls for comment…. A federal judge cleared Michael Jackson in a seven-year-old copyright infringement case brought by the group Ripples & Waves. The group claimed an album of Jackson 5 recordings contained two songs incorrectly credited to the Jacksons. The court agreed, but ruled that Michael Jackson had had nothing to do with the album’s release. Jackson’s lawyer said that he is ”pleased with the results.”… Goth rocker Marilyn Manson, 35, settled a suit with a Detroit security guard who said Manson sexually assaulted him at a July 30, 2001, concert. The settlement’s terms were undisclosed.
