It takes more than an broken finger to stop the White Stripes. Forced to skip 18 tour dates following the injury of lead singer Jack White in a recent car accident, the band has announced they?ll be back on the road this fall. Their canceled shows for July and August have been rescheduled for November.

After playing Sept. 13 in Berkeley, Calif., the duo will continue with their previously scheduled U.S. tour before continuing on to Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. They will then return to North America for their missed summer gigs, with a few exceptions. The band was unable to reschedule shows in Nashville and Norfolk, Va., and a Boston concert is being moved to Lowell, Mass., where tickets from the Boston show will be honored.

For anyone griping that White?s boo-boo wasn?t reason enough to take two months off, the guitarist has posted graphic video of his finger surgery on the band?s official website. According to White, the bones in his finger did not heal properly, forcing surgeons to install three bone-setting screws that will remain with him ”for life.” So now that we know he?s not a slacker, can we still call him a screw-up?

Here?s a list of the White Stripes rescheduled shows:
