ALL HAIL THE QUEEN

Moviegoers were straight trippin’ for Steve Martin and Queen Latifah last weekend, boosting the duo’s Bringing Down the House to $31.1 mil (a career high for both) and raising Buena Vista’s top 20 quotient to an impressive four films. While the real-life threat of war may have dampened the appeal of Tears of the Sun, the Bruce Willis-Monica Bellucci combat drama managed to gross a solid $17.1 million. And in limited release, another Bellucci film, the disturbing drama Irreversible, scored a reasonably strong $8,584 per-site average.
