''Fear Factor'''s Rogan may host ''Man Show''

”Fear Factor”’s Rogan may host ”Man Show.” He’d do double duty as host of the NBC gross-out show and Comedy Central’s now Kimmel-free testosterone party

Joe Rogan is about to become the king of intentionally sophomoric TV. He’s already the host of NBC’s ”Fear Factor.” Now, Variety reports, the network is about to sign a deal with Comedy Central to allow Rogan to host the cable channel’s ”The Man Show” as well. He’d take over from Jimmy Kimmel, who left to host his new late-night talk show on ABC.

According to Variety, the deal would grant Rogan the opportunity to moonlight on the beer-and-babes show in return for about $1 million worth of promotional consideration, including ads and mentions of ”Fear Factor” by Rogan during his ”Man Show” appearances. Such an arrangement would help boost awareness of ”Fear Factor” amid an increasingly crowded slate of network reality shows, especially among that key target demographic of guys who like to watch women jumping on trampolines.

Kimmel and cohost Adam Carolla produced 96 episodes of the show, 11 of which have yet to air. In March, Rogan will start taping a run of 22 episodes, which will debut this summer. To replace Carolla, the producers are in talks with stand-up comedian Doug Stanhope.
