We gave it a B

Maher got into hot water last year for making comments about terrorism deemed by many as both inappropriate and unpatriotic. So, now that his talk show, Politically Incorrect, has been canceled, what does he do but write a book filled with comments about terrorism sure to be deemed by many as both inappropriate and unpatriotic. In a series of essays, Maher outlines a semicomedic strategy for the everyday man and woman to successfully combat the so-called evildoers. And he does so with the help of really pretty pictures, or, more accurately, 33 paintings inspired by old WWII propaganda posters. (Especially clever is one featuring an SUV with the caption ”Put a flag on your car… it’s literally the least you can do.”) One may not agree with all of Maher’s suggestions, but at least his arguments are as passionate as they are PI.
