In the four years since its 1998 debut, StarCraft, Blizzard’s best-selling strategy game for the PC, has won over millions of fans who couldn’t get enough of its frenetic clashes between humans and alien hordes. Now the battle gets personal. StarCraft: Ghost, due sometime next year for multiple game consoles, transforms from real-time strategy epic into a tactical third-person shooter starring Nova, an elite female operative who must carry out a series of perilous story-based missions. As this exclusive image shows, Nova can avoid well-armed futuristic foes by lurking in the shadows as an ethereal presence. Best of all, she’ll have access to many of the weapons and vehicles found in the StarCraft universe. Lara Croft, eat your heart out.
