This album shares a name with a multimedia installation the Mekons displayed in England earlier this year, showing that at 25 years young, they’re still bowing before chaotic muses. There are bombastic antihistorical rants (”Thee Olde Trip to Jerusalem”), creaky residue of their aggro past partnered with songs of genuine mourning (”One X One”), and pristine products of their evolved country fetish. The Mekons have found a placid pasture for old punks.
