Q What’s in a Scooby Snack?

A ”Rat’s a recret,” says Scooby-Doo himself (voiced by Neil Fanning, the movie’s CGI canine). The prop department whipped up actual cookies shaped to resemble Scooby’s monogrammed dog tag. ”They tasted a bit like gingersnaps,” says director Raja Gosnell. ”Nothing exotic or sinister.” Or tasty, say the actors who sampled the treats. ”Apparently there was no sugar or butter in the entire land, because they were god-awful,” says Freddie Prinze Jr. Rails Shaggy-delic Matthew Lillard: ”Garbage. Wet cardboard.” And Sarah Michelle Gellar, Scooby’s Daphne, says the flavor was apt: ”Like dog food.”
