We gave it a D
Kevin Costner commutes between mournful grumpiness and awestruck lethargy as a grieving widower who believes his beautiful dead doctor-wife is trying to track him down with an important message from the beyond. Unfortunately, her communications are so hard to decipher that he starts to bug out. Is this supernatural tale throwaway comfort for a plague year? Or is it an opportunistic extension of the spiritualist parlor game Crossing Over With John Edward? Either way, it’s dully preposterous.
