U2, in Dublin, reportedly recording new material: the follow-up to 2000’s Grammy-nominated All That You Can’t Leave Behind and music for the soundtrack of the upcoming Martin Scorsese movie Gangs of New York.

FOO FIGHTERS, working on the sequel to 1999’s There Is Nothing Left to Lose, at Dave Grohl’s home studio in Northern Virginia. Look for the still-untitled disc in early summer.

Old 97’s frontman RHETT MILLER, in Los Angeles, making his solo debut with producer Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann). The album is tentatively due in August.
