LORDY!

The suits at AOL Time Warner (EW’s parent company) were chanting EBITDA-cadabra as Harry Potter crossed the $300 million mark and cracked the all-time top 10, while Ocean’s Eleven became a $152 million high roller and New Line’s Lord of the Rings reached $205.5 million after just 19 days (it’s enough to make you forget about The Majestic’s miserable $23.5 million total). In other news, Dimension’s Impostor turned out to be just that ($3 million), The Royal Tenenbaums successfully added 460 theaters to its very rich family (more than $11,000 per screen), and Universal’s A Beautiful Mind expanded beautifully, en route to $37.8 million and a second-place finish.
