Best known as the guy who wrote the stories on which Blade Runner and Total Recall were based, Dick, who died in 1982, deserves better than this posthumous profile. A rudimentary assemblage of ”talking head” reminiscences by the cult writer’s friends and peers, its only vestige of the man himself is a lamely animated caricature, mouthing excerpts from one old audio interview. The Gospel According to Philip K. Dick is a tribute only a member of his fan club could love.
