We gave it a B+

E. Elias Merhige’s kicky, elaborately constructed fantasy is both an homage to F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent horror classic Nosferatu and a high-spirited meditation on the correlation between bloodsucking and filmmaking. John Malkovich plays Murnau, draining the creativity of his colleagues; Willem Dafoe, in a fangs-bared performance, plays Nosferatu star Max Schreck — assuming Schreck played such a convincing Dracula because he really was a vampire.
