In one of those quaint, eccentric-filled British villages that seem to exist only on the screen, an orchid-growing widow (Blethyn) discovers that she’s been left with a rather large debt. Her solution: large-scale hydroponic hemp production. Ganja silliness ensues — old biddies with the munchies, naked bobbies — but the film’s tacked-on ending seems a cheat, not-so-deftly evading the issue of someone very nice doing something very naughty.
