We gave it a C

Capitalizing on his authority as the alliance-building, stingray-spearing, genitals-flashing grand pooh-bah of Pulau Tiga, Survivor‘s million-dollar champ, Rich Hatch, has kindly tapped out 101 Survival Secrets, a self-helper for the rest of us mere mortals. Part autobiography (believe it or not, in grade school Hatch hated public nudity!), part Roasted Rat for the Soul (you’ll find decidedly Hatchian aphorisms such as ”Don’t Trust Nice People” and ”Selfishness Is a Virtue” next to more touchy-feely bons mots like ”Start the Process of Loving Yourself”), Secrets is an exceedingly lightweight tome that seems more akin to Larry King’s USA Today column (who knew ol’ Rich loved the board game Balderdash?) than anything Deepak Chopra has to worry about.
