Sorry, Marilyn Manson. Dream all you want, but if George W. Bush wins, he won’t be asking you to play at his inaugural ball. The aggressively controversial makeup-clad rocker told November’s Talk magazine that he supports the Bush ticket over Al Gore’s (he says he loathes Gore’s No. 2, avowed Manson-hater Sen. Joe Lieberman). The Republican response? ”A hearty but firm thanks- but-no-thanks,” snaps Bush campaign spokesman Tucker Eskew. ”Governor Bush is a different kind of Republican — but not that different.” And Marilyn’s friends can stay away too: ”We do not plan a coalition of Cross-Dressing Glam Rockers for Bush anytime soon.”
