Stars from Ray Romano to Bonnie Hunt talk about what Olympic event they’d compete in

Posted on

Geena Davis may not have made the U.S. Olympic team in archery, but that doesn’t mean other celebs shouldn’t go for the gold. We asked a few what events they’d compete in, given a sporting chance.

RAY ROMANO (Everybody Loves Raymond)
”The gymnastics with the ball — where you’re part Baryshnikov, part Meadowlark Lemon.”

NOAH WYLE (ER)
”I don’t think I could do too much damage to the basketball team.”

BONNIE HUNT (Return to Me)
”The luge — because you can actually be an athlete by lying down, which is not good for any woman to brag about.”

JON FAVREAU (The Replacements)
”Tractor pulling.”

MICHELLE WILLIAMS (Dawson’s Creek)
”Trampolining. When I was a girl, I mastered the little trampoline we had in our backyard.”

MARK McGRATH (Sugar Ray)
”Ice hockey … The 1980 Miracle on Ice was the most important sports moment in my life.”

DJ QUALLS (Road Trip)
”Female gymnastics, because of all the drama and the crying. Where else can you train for years, tumble, and then burst into tears in front of America?”

GREG KINNEAR (Nurse Betty)
”Do they have anything where you can just be a lazy-ass guy?”
