Superhero powers

Superhero powers — Dustin Hoffman, Will Ferrell, Leann Rimes, and others talk about the supernatural gifts they wish they had

Posted on

With the cult comic X-Men hitting theaters, we asked stars what superpower they wish they had. (Not counting invincibility at the box office.)

DUSTIN HOFFMAN
”Manners — to stop farting at the dinner table. I’d be Fartman!”

MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN (The Whole Nine Yards)
”To read minds. I’d like to know what Steven Spielberg was thinking. Is he going to cast me in his next movie?”

DJ QUALLS (Road Trip)
”The power to make women take off their clothes. I’d work my powers on Elle Macpherson.”

TREY PARKER (South Park)
”To make people explode into flames with my mind.”

THANDIE NEWTON (M:I-2)
”A bulls— detector. I’d seek out bulls—.”

JON SEDA (Price of Glory)
”To be invisible…. I could be the angel in the outfield, hitting the ball over so the Mets win.”

LEANN RIMES
”I wish I could understand men more. I get nothing about you guys.”

WILL FERRELL (Saturday Night Live)
”The power to vomit on people on command. It would help get me out of tight situations.”

WILL SMITH
”Remember when Lois Lane died and Superman flew around and turned the earth backwards and Lois Lane came back to life? That would be cool.”

SARAH JESSICA PARKER (Sex and the City)
”To sleep. I haven’t had any in months.”

JAMES MARSDEN (X-Men)
”Everybody says flying…but I work so much out of [L.A.] that when I’m talking to my girlfriend on the phone I wish I could beam myself there immediately.”

ILLEANA DOUGLAS (The Next Best Thing)
”The ability to eat as much as I want and never gain weight or age. Oh God, I sound like an actress.”
