Atom Egoyan’s (The Sweet Hereafter) lush but addled thriller Felicia’s Journey showcases Bob Hoskins as a lugubrious English caterer — and possible serial murdered — who can follow a sunny cliche (”A child is a blessing”) with a death sentence (”Are you thinking of having the thing terminated?”) without a trace of irony. Unfortunately, the film deals him an unequal foil (Elaine Cassidy’s empty naif Felicia) and a stultifyingly unsubtle score, which continually and jarringly reminds you that there’s trouble a-brewin’.
