As former investment bankers with a Wall Street firm, John Rolfe and Peter Troob experienced more than their share of late nights and endless, mindless work. Apparently, though, the job’s stresses merely provide a great excuse to hone frat-boy attitudes: As described in Monkey Business: Swinging through the Wall Street Jungle, the guys cavort endlessly at strip joints, urinate under a table at the Rainbow Room, and compare stints of work travel to ”a beer bong full of pure grain alcohol.” For all the insider information they share (how to get hired during business school, how to read a prospectus intelligently), Monkey Business is nothing more than an adrenaline-fueled Animal House, with none of the movie’s charm.
