We gave it a B+

Dolly the sheep has a lot to answer for, from endless talk-show verbiage to this thriller, which touches on all the issues related to her ”birth.” Simply consider the setup: Jude Harley is a newspaper reporter who goes off on a seemingly straightforward story — a gruesome murder in a small town — which leads indirectly to another story about identical twins. Things get complicated when someone who looks just like Jude shows up in his doorway, leading him to investigate a renegade science cult, various establishment movers and shakers, an island off Georgia, a cave in Arizona, gene therapy, and even the promise of extended life. Despite a few far-fetched coincidences, it is easy to get swept up in the narrative of The Experiment, which culminates in a satisfying finale.
