We gave it a B-

Woody Allen’s latest is more of the same, albeit in black and white and featuring a premise that actually makes his usual parade of celebrity cameos seem appropriate in Celebrity. Sounding off on the absurdities of fame, he sends a variety of caricatures scuttling about in search of their ticket to the big time, concentrating on the exploits of obsequious journalist Lee (Branagh). If you can get past Branagh’s uncanny but extremely irritating Woody impression — a hefty ”if,” given his nonstop stammering and throat-clearing — you may enjoy many of the comic set pieces, particularly DiCaprio’s self-mocking turn as a spoiled, hotel-room-trashing brat.
