We gave it an A

This dizzyingly beautiful collection of photographs by one of the century’s most important artists was first published in 1983; it is now reissued with the help of the National Gallery of Art, which was lucky enough to be given much of Alfred Stieglitz’s work. Stieglitz’s wife, Georgia O’Keeffe, helped select the images represented in Alfred Stieglitz: Photographs & Writings, including stunning portraits of herself and friends, and the artistry that went into making the book is striking: The reprints are so luscious you might be tempted to cut them out and frame them.
